Route 6 east of Carbondale about 1 mile on right. Walk around reservoir through woods. Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company land; get permission. Very pretty.
(Lackawanna) Map G 5 miles; easy. 10 mins from Scranton
Park on Route 307 at Second Lake (Williams Bridge)2 miles south of Scranton. Trail is on left with gate.
Proceed 1 1/2 miles to Elmhurst Boulevard. You will pass a stream and a large swamp. Mostly oak and hemlock here. Turn right on Boulevard for 200 feet and turn right up mountain. Keep to right to summit where trail loops around towers and radio equipment. Return via switchback trail to left.
When approaching highway, cut through woods to stream and back to car. This is Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company land. Sign release forms with them.
